If you had bought $1,000.00 of Qantas shares one year ago, you would have $49.00 today!
If you bought $1,000.00 AIG shares one year ago, you would have $33.00 today!
If you bought $1,000.00 worth of Lehman Brothers shares one year ago, you would have $0.00 today!
BUT…. if you purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then returned the aluminium cans for recycling…. YOU WOULD HAVE RECEIVED $214.00!!!
BASED ON THE ABOVE, THE BEST CURRENT INVESTMENT PLAN IS TO DRINK HEAVILY AND RECYCLE! AND, DID YOU KNOW… A recent study found that the average Aussie walks 900 MILES A YEAR!!!
Another study found that Aussies drink, on average, 22 GALLONS OF ALCOHOL A YEAR!!! THAT MEANS THAT, ON AVERAGE, AUSSIES GET ….. 41 MILES TO THE GALLON. MAKES YOU PROUD TO BE AN AUSSIE DOESN’T IT?

Beer Drug

POLICE WARNING:

Police are warning all men who frequent clubs, parties and local pubs to be alert and stay cautious when offered a drink from any woman. Many females use a date rape drug on the market called …Beer. The drug is found in liquid form and available anywhere. It comes in bottles, cans, from taps and in large “kegs”.

Beer is used by female sexual predators at parties and bars to persuade their male victims to go home and have sex with them. A woman
needs only to get a guy to consume a few units of Beer and then simply ask him home for no strings attached sex. Men are rendered helpless against this approach.

After several Beers, men will often succumb to the desires to perform sexual acts on horrific looking women whom they would never normally be attracted.

After drinking Beer, men often awaken with only hazy memories of exactly what happened to them the night before, often with just a vague feeling that “something bad” occurred.

At other times these unfortunate men are swindled out of their life’s savings, in a familiar scam known as a “relationship”. In extreme cases, the female may even be shrewed enough to entrap the unsuspecting male into a longer term form of servitude and punishment referred to as “marriage”. Men are much more susceptible to this scam after Beer is administered and sex is offered by the predatory females. Please! Forward this warning to every male you know.

If you fall victim to this beer and the women administering it….. There are male support groups where you can discuss the details of your shocking encounter with similarly affected like-minded guys. For the support group nearest you, just look up “Golf Courses” in the phone book.

I´ve been suffering for about a week with a sore knee, so didn´t get too excited about cooking anything… not that we went hungry.
DC got some spring rolls from Barnicle Bills, plus there was plenty of cheese and some smoked oysters.

Trev measured the new bamboo shoot at 880mm.

15th March 2009

Rhustie and Gabby wanted to celibrate 7 months together (whoopee), so gabby’s family came around and we had a BBQ. I put 2 chickens on the charcole rotisserie which ended up cooked to perfection. D&DC bought some marinated chicken shaslicks and with all the other food, we had heaps left over.

My knee is still painful, so I’m on pain killers. They work really well washed down with a bottle of red.

We also had to move from under the bamboos back to the gravel area.

Trev measured the new bamboo shoot at 1330mm.

22nd March MC (skid kid)

Present : OC, PC, DC, AH, JW, Mick

A business client of mine came around late in the afternoon to discuss a website. Just so happened he had some beer with him, so we started a bit earlier than the others and he decided to stay for Sunset Club. John bought around some home made sausage rolls (very tasty), and we also had Brie and parmesian cheese on bread…. oh and the obligitary smoked oysters of course.

Andy was a bit late, which would account for him leaving with most of his faculties in tact, but it would’t be the first time he’s left here OK and was list as a pissard by the time he got home.

I’d been to woolies during the week to take advantage of to 30% off at the bottlo. I grabbed a couple of bottles of Brown Brothers at $6.50ea, without reading the labels. Turns out if was some sweet sickly watery red, which accounts for the .5 in the tally.

Mick drank half a bottle of Jim Beam and went arse over head as he was trying to mount his bike to go home. Apparently he forgot to pedal?? At least he did it with style, it looked very gracefull.

Trev wasn’t there to measure the bamboo shoot.

29th March Phhtttt

Present : OC, D&DC, JW.

I was a bit quiet this Sunday with just 4 of us. VERY pleasant tho. Nice gentle breeze with the bamboo leaves quetly rattling in the back ground, not to hot or cold, beer and reds…… Just whats required for a convalecing afternoon.

My foot, although still a bit swollen was no longer requiring pain killers …. so I just drank a bit more red… some mature cheese I had been saving up, and smoked oysters.. yummy. No peanuts though… and Deb had even brought protection.

Mick had a meeting at his place (any excuse), so couldn’t make it, and the rest were away or had something on, so it was peaceful … no politics, religion or rotary … geez … what did we talk about ???

I thing I’ll have to add a soft drinks in the score for John’s ginger beer 🙂

Trev wasn’t there to measure the bamboo shoot, so I had to do it … 1400mm

3rd May – Smorgasboard

Present AH DC TW JW & OC

Apol : MC (hasn´t been back since the push bike episode)

We started earlier due to daylight saving has finished… 4pm now .. I think we forgot to tell Trev (but he turned up at 4:30 and was most surprised to see us there already)

It’s been a while since a report 🙁 … Not that we haven´t been having a sunset … or a club for that matter!! But Easter was in the middle there some where.

There was a heap of cheese left over from previous weeks, So I got that out, but Andy turned up with some tuna mornay, and Dave had a pot of pea and ham soup. Along with some bread, a can of smoked mussels and a round of Brie …. well

Dave recon it was a bit cold and was wearing two hats… I think he was practicing for Mayor!

Trev remembered to bring the tape measure and measures the bamboo when he first got there, but when I asked him later what the measurement was well… ummm….. apparently it´s something over 2 meters… And on top of that he was the last to leave.

Sunset was crap.

10th May 2009 – Trev’s Patties

Present : AH, D&DC, TW, JW O&CC
Appol : MC (Flew up to QLD to go 4WD)
4 o´clock is a good starting time… that way, most can remember going home! Mind you, I´ve normaly started by the time the others get here, but then, I don´t gotta get home either 🙂
We are still out on the gravel area. Provided there is no breeze, the sun is quite warming on the colder days.
Trev came good with some minced beef he´s been telling us about for 2 months. Andy mixed about $15 worth of ingredients with it to make some really tasty patties. John turned up with some sausage rolls so we definately didn´t go hungry.
Dunno why, but whenever Deb is there, the conversation revolves around boobs.
Trev remembered the tape measure and tried to measure the bamboo. He announced that it was 2550, but I don´t think he can reach that high.

There was a bit of a sunset with some nice colours, but it didn´t last long.

21st June – Indian Chickens

Present : AH, D&DC, TW, JW O&CC

DC (The female half) has been dreaming about some Chicken Tika for quite some time, so gave fair warning about 4 weeks ago that she would bring the chicken and I would cook it in the appropriate style….. and so it came to pass…. and it was tasty (declared by all).

Ambiance was further enhanced by a split 44 gallon drum, loosely now called a brazier (there goes those tits again??), and a nice warming fire for the evening.

Sunset ??? What sunset .. fergot to look!!
